Sacha Laing, Group CEO, Alquemie Group, comments: “Inclusivity and community has always been core to the General Pants DNA. It’s our privilege to partner with Minus18 as they lead change, build social inclusion and advocate for an Australia where young people feel safe and empowered.

“What a huge moment for Sydney to be hosting and celebrating World Pride. I’m thrilled that through our General Pants Co. stores, we can support the important work that Minus18 do with our LGBTQIA+ community.”
Artist and media personality, Peach PRC also kickstarted the festivities with a meet and greet at the brands Sydney flagship store in the CBD. Minus18 also provided a range of workshops and education sessions for General Pants staff with LGBTQIA+ inclusion professional training, to actively support the creation of supportive and welcoming environments. All donations raised across the course of the weekend were exclusively donated to Minus18.

Minus18 is known for creating fun-filled spaces where LGBTQIA+ young people are celebrated, tackling social isolation with a preventative model of mental health support. Across World Pride launch weekend (February 24-26), General Pants donated $1 for every transaction to Minus18 to help them continue their work, building a world with no boundaries.
